It seems like it was “just one of dem days” not too long ago when Monica Arnold was a 15 year old newcomer with a voice wise beyond her years. Nowadays she’s a mom and wife, and is still giving it to us with that sultry voice. Her brand new album New Life, just hit stores.
Take a look at the diva’s style evolution over the years.
That soulful voice, that sharp pixie cut– Monica was IT in 1995! She could go from a tomboy on the cover of her debut album, Miss Thang, to a ’90s urban girly girl easily.
As the teen got older, she took on many of the late ’90s styles, like this full length tie-dye dress. Sure, it looks crazy now, but she was killing it back then!
In 1998, Monica sported longer locks and a more sophisticated look when she recorded her famous duet, “The Boy is Mine,” with singer and pal Brandy.
Baby blue was a hot hue for Mo in the late ’90s. Here she poses in the color from head to toe with Brian McKnight by her side.
The early 2000s were not kind to anyone. With trucker hats, distressed clothing, and wild hair extensions, we just want to blot the time out of our memories. Even still, Mo looks kinda cute here in this getup at the 3rd Annual BET Awards.
M went all blonde bombshell on us in the mid-2000s, rocking long tresses and a colorful ensemble.
We saw the beginning of Monica’s signature style in ’09: form-fitting pants, tailored blazers, to-die-for boots, and a close-cropped hairstyle.
Monica knows best: this Balmain blazer paired with denim and ankle boots are practically her uniform. And she looks so HOT wearing it!
Sophisticated Lady: For a night out with fellow basketball wife La La Anthony, Monica dons a sleek Diane von Furstenberg blazer, liquid leather pants, and Christian Louboutin heels.
