Unless you’re the type of woman who looks like you’ve been perfectly styled at all times—whether running errands or hitting the town—there are probably some areas of your wardrobe that need a little help. This go ‘round we’re panning the spotlight onto your workout clothes. We’ll admit, when it comes to workout gear there are plenty of baggy old tees and holey sweats in our drawers because the goal is to break a quick sweat and head home. Unless you’re a true athlete, some activewear apparel isn’t all that comfortable on the treadmill. But the Curvy Closet is all about bringing out the best side of you and boosting confidence at all times.
We’ve put together a few tips and looks to help you add some pep in your step the next time you go for a workout. Check them out below.
1. Clean House
Okay it’s time to clear out the cobwebs from your gym bag. And by cobwebs, we mean those tees that are practically see-through from being washed a trillion times. These are the pieces you have no business wearing in the first place, so toss ’em. As silly as it may sound, a good rule of thumb is to imagine your ex popping up. If you’d be mortified by that ill-fitting, torn up tee, put it in the no-go pile. It’s totally normal to feel slightly self-conscious while working out with others, but if you’re wearing stylish things that flatter you, you can focus more on the mission at hand.
