Hey, soul sister. We reminisced on some of the greatest blue eyed soul male singers of all time, but we couldn’t forget the ladies. From the late Amy Winehouse to the legendary powerhouse Barbra Streisand, these soulful vocalists prove time and time again that good music has no color. We fell in love to their songs, kept them on repeat during moments of heartbreak, and of course we couldn’t help but jam and strut our stuff to their ladies’ anthems.

    Great List! Nikka Costa, yes she truly is the business!! She’s an amazing artist. I love Kelly Clarkson too. Her songs “Walk away” and “Behind these hazel eyes” are the truth :)

        one song doesn’t make you a soul singer. it makes you a singer that sang a soul song! And i won’t even address the pink issue its pointless. Maybe you don’t know what true soul music is because there’s no way adele, amy winehouse, and pink could ever be in the same category.

          From an article I read years ago, Pink indirectly stated that she kinda got bullied out of soul music by fans of the genre and ppl in the industry because she was white. The first cd she bought was Mary J Blige’s “What’s the 411?” at age 16. Pink got Soul, believe that, but at the end of the day, she is still making money, so why change it up?

    You’re missing Taylor Dayne – Her version of “I’ll Always Love You” (For those not up on it, it’s not the Whitney Houston/Dolly Parton song, only the title is the same, this one Taylor’s version is completely different w/different lyrics & music and it’s really worth a listen) always brings a tear to my eye.
    So glad to see Lisa Stansfield on this list too – she so underrated (Her song, “All Woman” makes me cry too) – And No, I’m not a crier – but these songs cut deep for me.

      For you to be calling Christina a pop singer I’m assuming you haven’t listened to her Back to Basics or Stripped albums? Soar, I Will Be, Makes Me Wanna Prey, A Song For You, Understand etc. are FAR from pop..

    Ummm Adele is amazing but has green eyes, Amy Winehouse had dark brown eyes, Kelly Clarkson has hazel eyes….need I go on? This list does contain some amazing artists but from my understanding it is supposed to be a list of the top Blue Eyed Female Soul Singers. This list, if it had stayed true to its title, should have been much different. And if it was not to be true to its title, then maybe the title should have been changed.
