Chloe Sevigny Goes Street for Latest Opening Ceremony Collection

This week in a humid New York City gymnasium in SOHO, Chloe Sevigny and Opening Ceremony staged their first ever runway show. While the setting felt like we were going back to fifth period gym class, the clothes were taking it to the streets. Collaborating with 90s throwback skate brand Vision Street Wear, the resort collection featured low-slung sweat pant shorts, platform sneakers and a serious helping of denim. Though definitely a departure from Sevigny’s previous collection, which heavily favored feminine dresses in leopard, polka dot and paisley atop massive platforms and South Western boots, this range seemed to channel Sevigny scrappy days as a Jennie in KIDS. Street wear inspiration aside, Sevigny sent some bad-A$$ baby doll dresses down the catwalk— laser cut eyelet lace in leather and frilly white cotton and a cut-out shoulder shirt dress. Check out some of our fave looks and shout out to 90s super model Jenny Shimizu for working those leopard basketball shorts on the runway.
