Though Hollywood is usually full of baby bumps and bundles of joy, adoption is also very popular. Viola Davis and her husband domestically adopted their first child, Genesis, in October 2011.
Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are well-seasoned adoptive parents. Maddox was their first adopted son who was born in Cambodia in August 2001. The couple adopted him in March 2002. Their second adopted son, Pax, was born in November 2003 in Vietnam and was brought to the U.S. in March 2007. The couples third adopted child, Zahara, was born in Ethiopia in January 2005 and was adopted in July of the same year.
Sandra Bullock, now a single parent, adopted Louis who was born in December 2009. She brought him to his new home in New Orleans in January.
Madonna and Guy Ritchie adopted David, who was born in Malawi, Africa in September 2005, on October 16, 2006 while living in England. Madonna adopted her second child who was also born in Malawi, Mercy, in April 2009.
Sheryl Crow’s first son, Wyatt, was domestically adopted the day after he was born, in April 2007. She adopted her second son named Levi in 2010.
Meg Ryan adopted Daisy in January 2006 from China. Her name was originally Charlotte but Meg decided that the name wasn’t fitting.
During a trip to Haiti, Jilliam met the perfect child for her. She met the girl, Lukensia, after visiting an orphanage. Lukensia was brought to the U.S. in May 2012.
Charlize hasn’t said much about her adoption but we do know that Jackson is her first child.
Nicole Kidman, along with then husband Tom Cruise, adopted her daughter, Isabella, in January 1993. She adopted a son named Connor in February 1995.
Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra adopted their first son, Maximillian, at birth in 2000. In 2005 the couple adopted a daughter named Ava Eliot.
Kristin Davis adopted her bundle of joy, Gemma Rose, through a domestic adoption on October 7, 2011.
After several miscarriages, Sharon Stone adopted her first son, Roan, in 2000. Sharon and her husband adopted Laird in 2005 and Quinn in 2006. She is now the mom to three sons!
