About This Episode
Allison Samuels is a senior writer at Newsweek/Daily Beast. As a young girl, Allison discovered early on her passion for writing. After graduating from Clark Atlanta University, it was then that she realized Entertainment writing specifically was the area in which she wanted to grow and see her work flourish in.
She has written for countless publications including, Rolling Stone, O, Essence, and Vibe. In addition, Allison is author of Christmas Soul and Off the Record. In her latest book, What Would Michelle Do? A Modern-Day Guide to Living with Substance and Style. Allison hopes to encourage and inspire women in all facets of life to be more confident, courageous and classy just like First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.
