There’s a 50/50 chance even a frivolous lawsuit might score easy cash from a settlement.

2012 shall forever be the year of Travolta's sexual misconduct scandal. Several masseuses have filed lawsuits against the legendary actor for allegations of inappropriate touching and the like. So far, nothing has stuck and Johnny gets to keep his money in his pocket (minus the high priced lawyer fees).
Everyone's favorite Desperate Housewife, Teri Hatcher, has been under fire this year from a scorn business partner, Jennifer Glassman. The woman alleges that Teri pushed her out of their 50/50 deal on the star's production company. Stay tuned for the results of this lawsuit.
Cesar Milan has a way with man's best friend, but at least one man, Sean Hawkins, has a problem with how the dog whisperer treats people. Hawkins is suing for being unlawfully fired after he sought treatment for alcoholism.
Hair extension company, Hairtech International Inc., hit Paris Hilton with a $35 million lawsuit in 2010. The company claimed she was a bad investment as the company spokesperson but the case was eventually tossed out. But Hilton is near settlement with a lawsuit launched the same year by Le Bonita, a lingerie company.
Oprah money is good money if you can get it. Lerato Nomyuyo Mzamane tried in 2010 with a defamation lawsuit. She alleged that Oprah's influence made it impossible for Mzamane to get work after the 2007 sex abuse scandal at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls.
Oprah squashed the beef with a "woman to woman" sit down.
Earlier this year, Weezy settled a lawsuit with producer Deezie, who claimed he wasn't paid for his work on "Lollipop" and other songs on The Carter III, which grossed over $70 million. Deezie wanted $20 million but the two settled out of court, for an undisclosed amount.
In August 2012, Young Money is being sued again, by two more producers, Andrews "Drew" Correa and Marcos "Infamous" Rodriguez who allege they haven't received royalties. Share the young mulah, Weezy!
In March, Jay-Z and Kanye West went half on a copyright infringement lawsuit settlement. Then in June, Jigga was named in a lawsuit claiming that he plagiarized parts of Decoded.
In March, a judge threw out the case made by real-life street hustler "Freeway" Rick Ross. The former drug dealer sued rapper, Rick Ross for using his name to glorify street life.
A woman who took her daughter to one of JB's concerts claims that the stage set and screaming fans created a sound so powerful it ruined her hearing. She's asking for $9 million.
Recently, actor Kevin Costner got beat the $17 million lawsuit brought on by one of the lesser-known Baldwin's, Stephen. Interestingly, the lawsuit was over an oil spill cleaning device sold by Costner to BP for $52 million. Baldwin was mad because he sold his stake in the device for only half a million just before the BP deal went down.
Lindsay rents a porsche. Lindsay hits a trucker. Said trucker discovers that the driver is a rich Hollywood type. Naturally, he starts seeing dollar signs. With everyone hoping Lindsay makes a movie comeback, LiLo's team is likely to settle this way out of court.
Like the Facebook movie, but continued in real life, a class-action lawsuit has been raised against Zuckerberg. Apparently, a bunch of wealthy investors are peeved they couldn't get as rich off of Zuckerberg's idea, as he did.
ICM, Pauly D's former talent agency is suing the reality start for over $300,000 in commission fees from deals it helped broker on Jersey Shore. Pauly D. is fighting back because he probably spent most of that money already.
Gucci Mane lost a suit to Rafaello & Co. which claimed the rapper stole $270,000 worth of jewelry he was given on loan. The default judgement was put in against Gucci earlier this year. He never showed in court.
Earlier this year, DMX got a break when Heavy Rotation, a booking agency, dropped the $630,000 lawsuit against him. Heavy Rotation claimed that X's legal problems prevented him from traveling, causing the company to lose over $700,000.
A double-booking for Snoop has him in the cross fires of nightclub, Exchange L.A. suing Movement Management, concert promotion agency. Although Movement was paid for Snoops whereabouts, they had him booked at another gig simultaneously. The nightclub is asking for $100,000 in damages.
Lil Wayne and Drake
A default judgment to the tune of $432,000 was placed against Drizzy and Weezy, who were no-shows in the suit brought by Imperial Entertainment Group, a concert promotion company. The concert promoter claimed the artists were also no-shows at a 2011 event but neither Wayne or Drake recalls an agreement or a being served court papers for the lawsuit.
Missy is trying to get hers by suing Fox Valley Motor Cars, which has not honored its contract to deliver her brand new Lamborghini. Classy problem.
Ever business savvy rapper, 50 Cent, slapped Taco Bell with a $4 Million lawsuit for using his name in a nationwide press statement.
