StyleBlazer TV Exclusive: “Model Behavior” Interview with Caribbean Beauty, Chrishell Stubbs (As seen in Ralph Lauren, H&M and Benetton Campaigns)

She’s only 19, but Turks and Caicos native, Chrishell Stubbs is already a full-fledged, high-fashion model. She was discovered by a model scout in California at the young age of 11, and since then she has continued to show off her lithe figure and stunning facial features on fashion runways all over the world. She has walked in shows for designers like Vera Wang, Jean Paul Gaultier, Diane Von Furstenberg and Vivienne Westwood, and done editorials for high-glam fashion glossies like POP and V Magazines.

She has also done fashion campaigns for H&M, Benetton, and Ralph Lauren Blue, and her clout in the model world is continuing to rise. StyleBlazer recently caught up with Supreme Management model at the trendy Lair Lounge & Restaurant in Soho, NYC (where she currently resides) to chop it up with her about how she got discovered, growing up as an Island girl, her personal style, fashion aspirations and much more. Enjoy the video below:

I know Chrishell personally and she is just as beautiful inside as outside. Her mother passed when she was only 9 yrs, old, but I can see so much of her mother in her and her influence. She's a great person. You go Chrishell, you deserve it.

Though I think she's a cute girl, she's certainly not model material. At least not in the High Fashion sense. She seems a bit too porky to me. She should drop at least 10 pounds. Way too fat-looking in the face. Just saying

shes not porky at all! shes pretty slender actually. But she looks healthy! why should we portray models to be rail thin anyways? she probably gets plenty booking and she can show our young girls that you dont have to be 85 pounds to become a model.

Why should we portray models to be rail thin??? Maybe because the fashion industry is based entirely on physical appearance and there is a standard, whether or not you agree with it.

Like I said, Chrishell is a pretty girl, just not high fashion material. Her looks are very commercial in my opinion and this is exactly why she went from walking in major shows to doing commercial ads like J. Crew and H&M.

Looking at her recent editorial, I can say that her poses are very "Modeling-101". Redundant and boring. I wish she'd have a little more confidence in herself. Clearly it isn't there :(

ok lia/anonymous…get a grip on the jealousy. you can always buy a vagina!! gender reassignment  surgery is costly but very possible.

    • meli

you are right! She is gorgeous, but not high fashion model material-

  • Jana'a

Your the cruel ppl she warned us about.

  • Mathis

Chrishell, you are in a position, To make a difference, Ms. Banks walked the runway, like she was The Commander in Chief , Girl, You are Beautiful, Run with The gift that God gave you.

  • PinkEyeLemonade

Her humility really shows when asked by the interviewer if she had any particular dream designers that she would want to walk for. The fashion industry is not only competitive but is also ego-driven, narcissistic, and somewhat two-dimensional. Clearly this is proven by the above commenter "Anonymous".

I hope she doesn't lose her warmth and sense of self in all of it. I wish her the best of luck in all her endeavors. Stay beautiful, Miss Stubbs.

  • Louis_NYC

Does anyone remember the 1985 cover of National Geographic that featured the Afghan girl and her haunting eyes? I'm reminded of that image when I see Chrishell. Her eyes hold all the mysteries of the world. So haunting and beautiful at the same time.

    • Fuzzy Frisson

So because someone thinks that someone else should lose a bit of chubbiness round the face, you go one step further and wish the person death?  Where is the comparability?  You might not agree with someone’s thoughts, but to ask someone to kill his/herself over such a petty observation makes you sound really immature.

  • lia

shes cute but not model material because all her poses are the same and she lacks confidecne in herself. shes relying solely off her pretty looks

    • enough is enough

only you are Lia – only you are model material, exuding all the “confidecne” – …in the world.

  • Tori

I hear she's dating rapper Siya. What a way to end her career. #fail

    • LuluBell

what how does who she date affect her career?

  • GottaLargeOne

She is Breathtakingly Beautiful EVEN without Makeup!
However, she is still young so she still has time to hone her Interviewee skills.
    Nevertheless, WOW!!!

  • Gigi Williams

She’s only nineteen. To those who criticize her, how well would you do in an interview? Furthermore, it is obvious that some of you cannot read well. The article clearly lists some of the designers she has worked with, yet some idiots are here saying she’s not model material. So why do so many designers chase after her?
