The partnering of BET Networks and Black Girls Rock! Inc brought all the stars to the Loews Paradise Theater for the taping of the Black Girls Rock! special. The event took place last night, October 13th. According to the press release for the show, its main purpose is to pay “tribute and special awards to celebrate the achievements of remarkable women of color.” The women being honored this year are Dionne Warwick, Kerry Washington, Susan Taylor, Alicia Keys and Dr. Hawa Abdi and her daughters. Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King returned to co-host this year’s awards show, which is slated to premiere on November 4th.
