    Some of these couples have been engaged since 2008? I can understand a long engagement for maybe a year as you plan the wedding, but being engaged for several years? The whole point of getting engaged is to get married. I don’t understand people who get engaged, but then don’t actually plan to get married. If you don’t want to tie the knot then that’s fine. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have been together since the 80s and have no plans to make it legal. They don’t go around saying they’re engaged. Either put a ring on it or just admit that you’re partners in life but that you’ll never sign that piece of paper in order to be recognized by the government.
