15 Female Celebrities Who Really Need To Hire Better Stylists (Please Upgrade Your Look!)

You ever heard the saying “money can’t buy you taste?” I was constantly reminded of that phrase as I watched Mary J. Blige come up in the game. As she became more and more famous, it was clear that her fashion sense couldn’t keep up.  These days, there’s no excuse for a celeb to look consistently bad. Why? Because they have stylists to do all their shopping, curating and dressing for them. The average person has nobody but herself so what gives with some of these celebs? We’ve included just a few of the fashion violators out there.

Christina Aguilera

I honestly can’t remember the last time I looked at  Christina Aguilera and thought: that’s a pretty girl. Oh yeah, I do. It was about the time that her first hit single Genie In A Bottle came out. She was the posterchild for cute and talented circa 1999. But when it her second album came out, it was obvious that Aguilera was embracing the dirty, trashy look. Since then, she hasn’t managed to look classy at all. We know she has a stylist but she must have hired someone who simply agrees with all her distasteful moves.

Mariah Carey

Carey may describe herself as a kid at heart but the diva definitely needs to grow out of the mall rat look that she’s been sporting for many years now. Despite her worldwide success, designers are not flocking to dress Carey who is more associated with Juicy Jumpsuits and midriff tops than Haute couture . Now that Carey is over 40, we’re hoping that she fires her 21 year old stylist (we’re guessing she’s 21) in favor of someone who can make her look more classy for a woman of her means. Maybe she should take cues from her over-40 counterpart Gwen Stefani who manages to look super stylish, youthful and classy.

This dress says it all. Tiny is known for having a less-than-professional hairstylist who she sticks with because of friendship so we can only assume she let’s another friend from her high school days dress her. Considering that she’s rap royalty, we think she needs to step it up a notch.

Adrienne Bailon

Adrienne Bailon got what she wanted with this raunchy selection that put her goodies on display: mad attention. Nothing says thirsty than style that begs for attention. She needs to step up her style game so she can be taken more seriously and not be taken just as a publicity stunt.

Tamar Braxton

Now, let’s not get it wrong. Tamar has great style but her awful weaves are so distracting that we can’t even appreciate all her fabulous fashion. Why is that? Is her stylist completely ignoring that mess of hair on top? We’re sure that she’s violiating some sort of stylist code of conduct by ignoring an essential part of her client’s look.  But even worse than Tamar is her sister Toni’s wigs. Maybe it’s the same person consulting on both their hair styles. I can’t get over all the bad wigs and weaves that Toni has the nerve to rock on their reality show.

The Miami rappress has come a long way since her days of just looking like another chickenhead on the block but she still hasn’t hit the style mode that would work for her. She looks fine but she can look a lot better. She needs a stylist that gets both her soft and hard core sides.

Lil Kim

What can we say about Lil Kim that hasn’t already been said. I guess if she didn’t have bad style, and had great style, she wouldn’t be Lil Kim, would she?

Rita Ora

They’re obviously trying to make Rita Ora all hobo-chic but what works for Rihanna is obviously not working for Ora. We suggest she hire a stylist who can define her style and stop trying too hard with these all-over-the-place looks she’s been donning as of late.

Christina Milian

How would you describe Christina Milian’s style? Cat got your tongue? That’s because the woman who has been in the game for at least a decade has failed to make an impression on anyone. Time to invest all that hard-earned cash on a great stylist to really turn it up a notch.

Jessica White

Jessica White may have modeled the top designs by the top designers of the fashion world but you would never know it by seeing what she rocks on her off-time. In terms of fashion and style, she’s on the D-list although she has no reason not to be on the A-list.

Whoopi Goldberg

We know that Whoopi takes pride in being her own woman but once in a while, we’d like to see her not rocking white socks with plain black loafers on The View.

Mary J. Blige

You can take the girl out of the hood but you can’t take the ….well, let me stop. MJB has been in the game for twenty years and she’s  no where close to making anyone’s best dressed list. And we have good reason to believe that she don’t give a darn about it either. As she waltzes her way into icon territory, we’d like to see Mary refine her style and exhibit a more elegant flair to match her superstar status.

Keyshia Cole

Keyshia Cole got all the fame but she didn’t really seem to care about getting her look together to go to the next level. She’s certainly inconsistent . She looks fab some days but more often than not, her fashion and style just scream “boring!”

Raven Symone

Raven Symone recently lost weight but she still needs a stylist to upgrade her look for her new physique.

Sweet god, I know! The only comments I’ve been able to make were in regards to the errors. I hope the authors don’t get paid for these abortions.
