Florida Evans was essentially the glue that held the Evans family together on Good Times. The hard-working, no-nonsense taking mother was played by Esther Rolle, who passed away in 1998. Today would have been the late actress’ 92nd birthday. We all remember watching the Evans family barely “get by” while living in a small high rise apartment in Chicago. Despite their situation, the Evans family was filled with love and rocked some very hot ’70s fashion from beloved characters like Thelma Evans, neighbor Willona Woods and young Penny.
